Why the Hearth Exists
A hearth is a place where warmth is received, tended, and shared.
The Sacred Hearth is a circle of women who help tend the fire behind PraiseWalker, making it possible to continue creating resources, serving through Imago Christi and the Order of the Mustard Seed, and welcoming more women into a deeper life with God.
In a world that asks us to move faster, the Sacred Hearth invites us to keep company with one another — and with God — at a slower pace.
Tokens of Companionship
As a heartfelt thank you to those who join, I have created a few quiet, tactile companions exclusively for members of the Sacred Hearth. These cards and gatherings are my personal expressions of gratitude, designed to help nourish your own spiritual journey as you help sustain mine.
A Personal Letter
Each month, a short letter arrives in your mailbox — written by a real person who has been paying attention to both God and the world.
A Contemplative Breath Prayer
On the other side, a simple breath prayer. Two sentences. Just quietly there for you.
A Tiny Practice
A simple practice that can be carried throughout the month whenever it's needed. Not an assignment. A companion to reach for in a waiting room, a hard conversation, or three in the morning when you can't sleep.
An Audio Meditation
A QR code opens an audio meditation — usually around five minutes, maximum ten — that goes a little deeper and wider if the need is there. A guided silence, a slow Scripture reading, a gentle pause at the end of the month.
Fireside Gatherings
Every other month we pull up a chair around the virtual hearth for ninety minutes of prayer, conversation, gentle spiritual experiments, and simply enjoying one another's company as we seek God together.
These are not classes, webinars, or coaching sessions. They are an invitation to keep the fire burning together.
Articles speak to you. The Sacred Hearth walks with you.
Nothing to complete on a deadline. No portal to log into. No way to fall behind.
Over time something shifts. You find yourself calmer. Quieter inside. Reaching for the breath prayer without thinking. Noticing the sacred in ordinary moments you used to walk straight past.
You won't be able to point to when it happened.
That's how it's supposed to work.
Come to the fire.
Stay as long as you like.
$27 a month. Your membership helps keep freely offered work freely offered — and keeps the fire burning for every woman who cannot afford to pay.
