Stumbling Forward

This has been a wild ride!  LOL! Though in spite of my stumbles I have to say that my Habit System seems to be working for the most part. I succeed more than I fail, but one failure puts me back at zero, so that’s frustrating. However, desperately not wanting to get that zero is keeping me on track most days, so I guess it’s a tradeoff!

So, the issues with my last post got corrected, but last week things fell apart again – life happens, right?  I had a number of busy days out of the house, and that tends to screw with my system.  I also have issues on the weekends.  On top of all that, our treadmill broke, so with the morning treadmill workout scrapped, and the outdoor walking positively treacherous (lots of ice, uneven snow -that’s also melted into ice and refrozen several times) exercise has been a challenge.  Today, however, I just remembered that I have Leslie Sansone’s indoor walking workout that only needs a DVD player, and I’m good to go.  In fact, I’m having my genius son get the videos onto my tablet and phone so I have no excuse! 🙂

As it stands, I’m basically starting back at zero with regards to my streaks.  Frustrating, because I was over 30 days in a row with the hydration and walking, and now back to zero.

So, I will treat these stumbles with grace, and this week I won’t add any new habits – just get these ones back up and running.  So far today I’ve completed all but two tasks already!  Woohoo!  Cookin’ with gas!

Up by 6:00 (I adjusted because I’m back to the polyphasic thing and it’s working) – Current streak: 1

Early Morning Walk (which I’ll do at noon today) – Current streak: 1
Devotional Reading – Current streak: 1
Declarative Prayers – Current streak: 2
Listening Journaling – Current streak: 2
Breakfast Shake – Current streak: 1
Make my bed – Current streak: 1
Two Green Teas w/coconut water – Current streak: 1

Onward and upward!
