I fall down, I get up

Well, this past week was a bit of a mess.  I got royally screwed up with my sleep, and when I don’t sleep, I don’t function.  So, we made some changes.  No polyphasic for me at this time – I need to adjust to that when I don’t have a million things going on.  Also, I struggle on weekends to keep up because I don’t have the same kind of schedule.

So this week wasn’t quite as successful as the previous weeks, but all in all, still very encouraging.  Here are my results:

  1. Hydration (8-8oz glasses of water per day): Current streak 27 days in a row.
  2. Morning walk  Current streak: 26 days in a row (I don’t do Sundays – it’s my rest day)
  3. Devotional Reading: Current streak 21 days in a row
  4. Declarative Prayers: Current streak 21 days in a row
  5. Make my bed: Current streak 1 days in a row (this one I missed on Saturday and Sunday, so the count restarts from zero)
  6. Listening Journaling: Current streak 2 days in a row (also missed this one on Saturday)
  7. Two high-mineral cold tea drinks (a mixture of different green/fruit teas and pure coconut water) I had this one going 5 days in a row, but missed Saturday and Sunday, so we’re back to 1.  Sigh.  Those weekends are tough!

What’s on the list for this week?

  1. A fruit smoothie for breakfast every morning.  This is so full of vitamins and fibre that it’s a fantastic way to start my day, and keep me from nibbling and bingeing, which is what happens when I start with something like cereal.  It contains an all-natural protein powder, freshly ground flax seed, mixed berries, strawberries, green juice, almond milk, and coconut oil.
  2. Up by 5:30 every morning.  I do love the early morning hours.  Last week they were beyond impossible, but this week they seem to be happening all by themselves, and even earlier than my set wakeup time, which suits me just fine!
