Get Your Act Together – The PraiseWalker Challenge

So, I’ve been sitting here working out the details of what I need to work on to get my own act together.  I’ve made a lot of progress in some areas, and have hit numerous brick walls in others.  I’ve spent the past few months researching and trying to understand where and why I’m getting stuck.  I’m starting to see the light.

But, I need help.  I’m so much more powerful with an accountability group, and I’m wondering if there are a few people out there who would come alongside and work with me on this.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

I would like to start moving forward in very small steps to create solid habits in my life that stick, rather than diving in and doing everything at once only to crash and burn.  Back to the concept of “Kaizen” – small improvements over time.  I’ve roughed out 6 months of changes in the following areas:

  1. Faith- creating non-legalistic habits that keep our focus on God instead of being drawn into a million directions at once
  2. Fitness – create habits that improve aerobic fitness, strength training, and flexibility – on a time budget
  3. Food – develop simple eating habits that serve instead of sabotage
  4. Finances – Develop habits and systems that increase our finances, and also help us to better track be be better stewards of what we have.
  5. Friends – create a mastermind team that does life together as a journey.

I’m not going to ask you to share deep secrets or hang your laundry out for all to see.  This is intended as a powerful, forward thinking team of cheerleaders for each other.  I’ll give daily assignments that are small – some just being along the line of a daily thought – and we’ll cycle through each of those areas of focus to cover as many bases as possible.  Looks like it’s going to last a few months, getting us past the “New Year’s Resolution” blitz and into solid habits by March or so.

If you want to participate, and you have goals you want to achieve in any of those areas, please don’t hesitate to share those ideas with me once you’ve signed up.  If I’m not already covering your area of concern, I’ll incorporate it into the program if I can.
